TAIERI HORTICULTURAL SOCIETY.

A meeting of the committee of the Taieri Horticultural Society was held last evening, Mr J. C. Browne presiding. The secretary submitted a report on the recent spring show, which showed a. credit balance. The secretary referred to the general success of the function. Votes of thanks were passed to the Dunedin Horticultural Society,' Mr L. S. Dyer, the Lawrence exhibitors, and local friends, who bad assisted. The accounts in connection with the show were passed for payment. It was decided to hold a meeting early in the now year to make arrangements for the autumn show. Tire extent of the inquiries for schedules shows that much’ interest is being taken in the matter.
