APPEAL TO HIGH COURT. JUDGMENT RESERVED. Pnmm A»»ooi*tion—By T»legr»ph—Copyright MELBOURNE, October _ 19. The High Court reserved its decision in an- appeal from the lull Court’s decision by Kelly. David Kelly, alias O’Keefe, was charged with the murder of Mrs Ada Overall at Millgrove, near Warburton, in June. Last year the woman disappeared suddenly, and inquiries led to the arrest of Kelly, who, while under detention, made a confession, which the police produced in evidence. At the first trial the jury disagreed, and at the second trial the jury returned a verdict of manslaughter, against which Kelly appealed. The appeal was dismissed by the Full Court, and later at the Criminal Court Kcllv was sentenced to 10 years’ imprisonment, with hard labour.
