In Juno last a number of fanatical Moros, who arc Mohammedans, attacked the constabulary on the strength of an assurance by a priest that they were immune from bullets. The Moro casualties numbered 77. Two months later there was a recrudescence of Tie trouble when the Moros gathered in the rocky strongholds of Mount Gurayn and Lake Lanao, Mindanao, where they threatened and defied the Government They refused repeated inducements to lav down their arms and peacefully return to their homes. A constabulary column attacked and killed 46 Moros, including the leaders. The remainder scattered, and the rising was broken.
