DROUGHT IN QUEENSLAND
GLOOMY OUTLOOK FOR FARMERS. FrM Association —By Telegraph—Copyrlga BRISBANE, October 6. (Received Oct. Y, ai 6.5 p.m.i As the result of a drought which, ia stated to be worse than in 1902, it is estimated that the wheat crop will yield only 6U0,000 bushels. All the crops in Northern Darling Downs failed, and most of them have been already fed off. Many of the crops in Southern Darling Downs are only six inches high, and are in ear. They are too short even for hay. The position is now acute, and the prospects of rain are still discouraging.
