DROUGHT IN QUEENSLAND

GLOOMY OUTLOOK FOR FARMERS. FrM Association —By Telegraph—Copyrlga BRISBANE, October 6. (Received Oct. Y, ai 6.5 p.m.i As the result of a drought which, ia stated to be worse than in 1902, it is estimated that the wheat crop will yield only 6U0,000 bushels. They are too short even for hay. The position is now acute, and the prospects of rain are still discouraging.
