CAPTURE OF GABRIEL MOUREY. CRIMES IN MANY LANDS. Association—By Telegraph— CopyritV. LONDON, October 5. The Daily Chronicle’s Paris correspondent states that the arrest of the bandit Gabriel Mourey after a fierce struggle, which resulted in the serious woundinc of Mourey, brings to light’ a famous criminal character. Mourey was arrested on a charge of stealing Jewelery valued at £25,000 from a millionaire of New York. For murder he was transported to the Devil’s Island, the French convict station, but he made a remarkable escape. He then settled in Venezuela, where he committed many thefts, and next he proceeded to Mexico. In the United States his career has been a series of wonderful episodes, but he always evaded arrest t>v his fine disguises.—A. and N.Z. Cable. "
