TWICE REPORTED DEAD.

“CORPSE” VERY MUCH ALIVE. (Peb United Press Association.) NAPIER, August 29. It was reported from Wanganui that a man whose body was found Boating in the Wanganui River had been identified after careful inquiries as that of Ernest Randall, who left Auckland for Wanganui early in June. The “dead” man happens to be at present in Napier. Interviewed this morning, Randall stated that he intended going to Wanganui at the time of the inquest, but changed his mind at lh e last minute and came to Napier. “This is the second time I have been reported dead, and I do not like it,” said Randall. The first occasion was. when the Marquette went down in the Mediterranean. Ho was in a boat with 10 survivors. When he landed, after many days of privation, ho was just in time to attend a memorial service to himself. Randall cannot understand how tho dead man could bo identified as himself.
