Sir Henry Hayden, Director of Geological Survey in India, and two guides have been missing in the Alps for a fortnight. It is feared that they were killed by lightning on Alt. Finsteraarhom (14,020 ft); the highest peak of the Bernese Alps, which is liable to the most violent storms such as were reported when' the party was climbing.—A. and N.Z. Cable.
