The amount received by Lord Glenconner is believed to have been about £200,000.

A London message dated August 22 stated; —Sir Joshua Reynolds's picture, “The /Young Fortune-teller, and his portrait, “The Viscountess Crosbie,” two ox Britain’s greatest pictures, have been /sold by Lord Glenconner to an American connoisseur. It is reported that the price waa over £104,000.
