PROGRESS DURING CURRENT YEAR. (From Odr Own Correspondent.) WELLINGTON, August 28. In the House of representatives last night the Prime Minister furnished details of the amounts authorised by the State Advances Department from April last to date, as follows: — Settlers ... £2,540,820 Workers 604,845 Local bodies 315,160 Total £3,460,825 Mr Massey explained that tho rate at which the advances were now being made was considerably in excess of the rate indicated above.
