CLAIM FOR DAMAGES.
£750 AWARDED. (Per United Press Association.) WELLINGTON, August 20. As the result of an accident' on the Komata at Wellington last year, John Boyce broke his leg by tripping on a wire while stepping over some dunnage. Jtie alleged negligence on behalf of the Union Steam Ship Company, The jury returned with a verdict for the full amount of damages allowable under the Act, £750, less £212, paid by, way of compensation.
