UNSTERILISED BEDDING.
CLAIM FOR DAMAGES. (Per United Press Association.) WELLINGTON. August 20. In connection with tho claim of John Baldwin Adams against the Wellington Patent Slip Company tor £692 for alleged negligence, as ho had contracted skin disease when handling bedding which had not been sterilised, the jury awarded special damages £52 5s and general damages £575 ss. On behalf of tho defendant company counsel moved for a nonsuit, or, alternatively, judgment for a new trial. Sir John Salrnond intimated that he would adjourn the matter for further consideration.
