DRUIDISM.
The fortnightly meeting of Lily of tho Valley Lodge was held in tho hall, Albany street There was a large attendance. A. good dial of business was transacted and the standing orders were suspended, as four candidates presented their medical certificates, and were admitted as members of the order. Tho officers were complimented for the manner in which they delivered their varipus charges. Official visits were received from D.P.’s Bros. Thompson and Wilson, of Mo. 1 and 3 Districts, also visits from P.D.F. Bro. M’Beath (Enterprise), P.D.P. Bro. Brockio (Ivanhoe), A.D. Bro. Reid and P.A. Bro. Borrow (Ivanhoe). D.P. Bro. Thompson, on behalf cf Mo. 1 District, presented Bro. T. Baird with his P.D.P. regalia. The visitors honoured the various toasts. P.A. Bro. Bradshaw stated his intention of contesting tho position of D.P. for Mo. 1 District at tho end of tho year. Considerable discussion took place regarding the welfare of tho order. A number of brothers were reported to be on the sick list. Before closing several names were proposed for next meeting. Tho annual meeting of tho Royal Arch Chapter was, held in the Waratah Tea Rooms on Thursday evening, when R.A. Druid Bro. Watson presided over a largo attendance of members. Three brothers presented their certificates and were given their degrees by the chapter officers. Tho secretary read tho annual balance sheet and tho auditor’s report. After discussion, tho balance sheet and report wore adopted. The election of officers caused a keen competition. Tho following brothers were elected;—R.A., Bro. G. Thompson; R.V.A.D., Bro. G. Wilson; R.A. Secretary, Bro H. Brockio; R.A. Treasurer, Bro. G. Green; 11.1. G., Bro. T. Borrow; R.0.G., Bro. E. H M’Farlano; ft.A.B., Bro. B. Reid and J. Bradshaw;; R.V.A.8., Bros, A.' E. Robertson and A. Brockio; Chapter auditors, G. Sec. Bro. Steel and G.T. Bro. Birt P.G.P, Bro. Jacobson, assisted by P.D.P. Bro. Ford, installed tho officers. The retiring R.A.D., Bro. Watson, thanked the brethren for the assistance they hfti given him during his terra of office. Ivanhoe Lodge met in the Oddfellows’ Hall, Stuart street, on Wednesday last, when A.U. Bro. - Reid was greeted with a good attendance of members; A largo amount of correspondence. was dealt with o.nd the Bards reported on tho sick brothers. Owing to unforeseen circumstances, the lodge decided to withdraw from the Ross-Stewart Shield competition. Bro. Simmons reported on the meeting of delegates regarding a combined syllabus handbook. After hearing tho report. the lodge decided to support the proposal. One candid ate was initiated into dvuidism. The usual loyal toasts were honoured and responded to by tho visitors present. Pride of Mornington had a. good attendance of members at its last lodge meeting. The standing orders were suspended to enable a candidate to bo initiated. The lodge then >'d in:' rnr-d for the purpose of receiving Court Excelsior, A.0.F., who had been invited for 1 - (lnpni"t were exchanged, and an enjoyable game of cards was indulged in, artcr which supper was served.
