HIBERNIANS

The usual fortnightly meeting of St, Joseph’s branch No. 73 ot the Hibernian Society was held in St. Joseph’s, Hall, Rattray street, last week, the president, Bro. J. J, Marlow, jun., presiding over a large attendance of members. The visitors to the sick, Bros. A. Hanley, A. Berland, and J. Hughes, having furnished a report, the sick claims and other accounts were passed for payment. Bros. A. Gillick and D. M'Brids were appointed branch ,delegates to the Friendly Society’s Council. At the conclusion of the meeting a short musical programme was held. St. Patrick’s Branch held its fortnightly, meeting in St. Patrick’s Schoolroom, South Dunedin, the president, Bro. F. Mplliu, presiding over the meeting. Accounts for sick pay were passed for payment, and a largo amount of ordinary business, was attended to. After the business of the meeting was concluded a social programme, which was arranged by the Social Committee, was enjoyed by all present.
