OPIUM IN CHINA
ILLICIT IMPORTATIONS. , SHANGHAI, July 19. Tremendous illicit importations of opium into China recently have brought the price of the drug to the lowest point ‘ for many years. The importation of opium into China was prohibited in 1913, and the price is even lower than when it was a legitimate article of commerce.
