VESSELS ENCOUNTER STORM. 'Per United Press Association.) AUCKLAND, July 16. The Arahura arrived at 6 o’clock on Sunday night from east coast ports after an exceptionally stormy trip. She encountered mountainous seas near the East Cape and across the Bay of Plenty. 1 . - The oil steamer Pinna arrived from Singapore on Sunday morning. On passing the North Cape she made only three knots, and the wind blew with hurricane force from the Capo to Tiritiri. The decks were constantly flooded. No damage of any importance was done.
