COMMUNITY SINGING
Pine weather out-of-doors is more, attractive than engaging in’ a happy reunion under cover, and that, is the principal reason whv there was not. an overflowing attendance at the Empire Theatre between 12.30 p.m. and 1.30 p.m. yesterday to engage in community singing. Tho audience was a very enthusiastic one, and the singing went with right, good will. Air F. H. Dampen led tho singing, and with his natural brisk nature kept matters very much alive. Ho was warmly supported in his efforts by (hose in the audience.. Miss Rita Holmes filled the post of accompanist very creditably.
