RETURN OF DUELLING
ENCOUNTER IN PARIS. TWO BARRISTERS ENGAGE. Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright PARIS, July 3. (Received July 4, at 10.30 p.m.) The first publicly notified duel since the beginning of the war was fought on the outskirts of the city between two French barristers—M. Campinchi and M. Barquisseau. The men fought with rapiers. In the third bout the seconds ended the encounter, because M. Barquisseau was twice wounded. The reason for the duel is not published.—A. and N.Z. Cable.
