BILL BEFORE THE COMMONS

Preen Association —By 'Jel«rrftph—Copyright LONDON, July 3. {Received July 4, at 8.10 p.m.) In the House o£ Commons Mr Charles Buxton, the Labour member for Accrington, has introduced a Bill to fix the maximum working week at 48 hours. He said that the measure would not affect any industry in which a shorter working week had already been secured by agreement, but it would deal with the unorganised trades where scandalously long hours prevailed.—A. and N.Z. Cable.
