SHEEP RETURNS.
I "CREASE OF 706,605. The interim return of sheep in the dominion in April last shows that there were 22,828,661 sheep, as against 22,222,258 in April, 1922, an increase of 706,605. This increase was almost entirely in the North Island—namely, 632,238. The net increase in the South Island was 74,367. Marlborough was responsible for a decrease of 82,360.
