BOY SCOUT MOVEMENT.

MEETING OP ADVISORY COMMITTEE. ENGLISH POLICY ADOPTED. , (Feb. United Press Association.) WELLINGTON, June 21. At a meeting of the recently-formed Advisory Committee to the council of the nqy Scouts’ Association, Viscount Jellicoe presiding, it was decided to adopt the English policy and rules, with slight alterations in minor details to conform with local conditions. The unanimous opinion was expressed that the adoption of the English rules would fill a long-felt want, and would hay© a far-reaching effect. At a meeting of the Council of Education to-day an address on the Boy Scont movement was given by Sir Alfred Pickford, after which the conference resolved that the Minister be advised to approve of the Scout movement and commend it to the support of parents and of young people of the dominion, and that teachers be urged to study the aims, ideals, and methods of the movement with a view to the application of the movement to the organised games of schools, secondary schools, and colleges.
