A PROFITLESS VENTURE. Press Association— By Telegraph— Copyright LONDON, June 19. (Received June J2O, at 9.5 p.m.) Mr G. R. Lane-Fox (Parliamentary Secretary to the Board of Trade), replying to a question in the House of Commons, said the Government did not propose to spend any more money on oil bores in Lothian. Each borehole had cost £50,000, and the total oil production was worth only £3O.—A. and N.Z. Cable.
