BALANCING THE BUDGET. PROPOSAL TO CUT DOWN ESTIMATES. Pres* Association—By Telegraph—Copyright ’ PARIS, May 30. The Financial Committee of the Senate discussed a proposal to out down the Estimates by one milliard and 80,000,000 francs in order to balance the 1923 Budget. M. Poincare stated that it was impossible to reduce the expenditure by more than 400,000,000 francs without seriously hampering the public services.—A. and N.Z. Cable.
