BELLEKNOWES METHODIST CHURCH.

The Belleknowes Methodist Church held its anniversary services and concert ou Sunday and Tuesday last respectively. The weather was ideal for both functions, and the gatherings, too, were excellent. On the Sunday morning the Rev. R. Raine occupied the pulpit, and in the evening Mr S. M'Farlane, M.A. There was a large attendance at the concert on Tuesday night, and the programme was undoubtedly a first-class one, every item being encored. The Rev. K. Raine occupied the chair. Mr M'Lonnan gave a brief verbal report of the position of the church, which, he said, was as sound as, any church in New Zealand. He also moved a very hearty and comprehensive vote of thanks, which was carried with applause. After the concert those who took part in the programme and their friends were entertained to tea by the ladies of the. church. It was decided in the course of a few, weeks to give a lea to all the Young Worshippers’ League members and intending members.
