"I TOUGHED HIM.”

THE PEINCE OF WALES. REMARKABLE POPULARITY. Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright LONDON, May 29. The Prince of Wales received one of the most remarkable welcomes of his life on his arrival at Rotherham, where ha commenced an industrial tour of Yorkshire. He walked with prominent persons through tens of thousands of people, who were regulated by the police or by barriers. When he entered his car he was surrounded by crowds of excited girls and women, who climbed on to the footboard and touched the Prince’s arm, shouting “I touched him!” The car was pushed for some distance by the cheering crowd, but eventually it got clear.—A. and N.Z. Cable.
