IRISH AGITATORS ACTIVE. Pr««» Association —By Telegraph—Copyright NEW YORK, May 26. (Received May 27, at 11.5 p.m.) _ The St. Patrick’s Cathedral authorities have announced that owing to an old parish rule permitting the display only of the American flag in the cathedral the Union Jack will not he permitted to be carried by the British veterans, who must not be in uniform during the American Memorial Day celebration in the cathedral on Sunday.
It is understood that Irish agitators threatened a Serious riot if the Union Jack were displayed in the cathedral.— A. and N.Z. Cable.
