The Prime Minister hud an exceptionally busy day, receiving deputations and discussing, the wants of the districts in (ho matter of suburban railway services. One matter which was brought under his notice by au influential deputation was the need for a solution of the housing problem. Late in.the afternoon Mr Massey attended the opening of fhe British Isles' Club" by the. Governor-General, and he left for the south by the Main Trunk-express this evening. The Hon. W. Downo Stewart (Minister of‘lnternal Affairs) left for Wellington tonight. The Hon. C. J. Parr (Minister of Education) is still in Auckland and is spending a few. days at Milford Beach.
