WELLINGTON WOOL SALES.
SATISFACTORY PRICES. (Pks United Press Association.) WELLINGTON, May 24. The final big wool sale of the current season was held to-day. There waa a full attendance of buyers, and bidding on the whole was generally keen from the outset. There was a small amount of wool passed. A total catalogue of 17,500 bales waa offered. It consisted of crutchmgs, bellies, pieces, and back country wool, also; later m the day some attractive fleece lots held, hack for various reasons from earlier sales; some from as far back as February last. The quality of the wool in the catalogues was varied, ranging from, rough bushstained and seedy lots to quite choice fleece wool. Prices ranged as follows: Fine Crossbred.— Super, 13d to 15id ; average, lid to Isid; interior, 9d to 10|d. Medium' Crossbred. —Super, 12d to I4id j average, lOd to 13id; inferior, 8d to 9id Coarse Crossbred. —Super, to ; average, 9d to 10id; inferior, 8d to 9d Low Crossbred. —Average, 8d to B|d; interior, 6id to 7id. Hoggets-—Low, 8d to Sjd, Lambs. —Down, to 17^-d; fine, ll£d to 16id; medium, to 13^; seedy and inferior, all grades, 5d to lid. Bellies and Pieces.—Crossbred, good to super, Sjsd ■to 10id; crossbred, low to medium, to B£d. Cr'utchings.—Medium to good. 7d to 9id; inferior and seedy,, 4d to 6id. Locks. —Crossbred, to sid.
