ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES.
TRAGEDY IN THE HUNTING FIELD. WELL-KNOWN HORSEWOMAN KILLED. (Pee United Press Association.) CAMBRIDGE, May 24. A chocking fatality occurred yesterday in the hunting field at Tamahero Miv Wynn Brown wr.« riding. the wellknown limiter Hawker, when the horse failed at a jump and turned n complete somersult at the fence, falling on the rider, who was killed instantly. Deceased was the wife of the mn*ter of the hounds. She had lived in the district practically all her life, and was an accomplished horsewoman. She was known all over the province. She was held in the highest esteem, and her death has cast a gloom over the town and district. A FARMER’S DEATH. (Per United Phess Association.) PALMERSTON N., May 24, At the inques'c on the body of Jeremiah Joseph Lynch, the coroner returned a verdict that deceased died from a gunshot wound through the heart, there not being sufficient evidence to indicate whether the wound was self-inflicted or the result of an accident. BABY’S DEATH. The four-months-old baby of Mr F. J. Colgan, stationmaster at Soaciiff, was lying in a perambulator on the verandah of his House yesterday, when the vehicle was evidently blown over a bank and the child was killed. An inquest will be held to-day. * George Hydes, nine years of ago, who resides at 740 George street, was Knocked down by a motor car in Cumberland, street_ yesterday, and was admitted to the Hospital, sutfeying from concussion. Corfstance Robertson was also admitted to the Hospital yesterday, having fractured her arm by falling in the playground at her school The girl, who is il years of age, Lves at 577 Cumberland street.
