LUXOR TREASURES
MORE INTERESTING FINDS. LONDON, May 1. The process of preparing the treasures taken from Tutankhamen’s tomb at Luxor for transport to Cairo has revealed other objects which include bows ornamented v.’ith decorated bark. Some are of curious double formation. One is finely worked and has at either end the representation of the nook of an Asitio or Nubian foeman, carved to form notches for the bow-itring. _ Another is a veritable treasure. It is a compound bow coated with a thick sheet of gold of great weight. It is in perfect condition and elaborately ornamented with granulated work inlaid with calcite and coloured glass. . Many gloves of fine textile have been found 1 ; also a complete sot of linen finger stalls with the tapes still attached. Some beautiful gloss vases have been found, and a redwood inlaid box containing four balls of incense. Portion of this tested in the laboratory gave off a pleasing aromatic smell.
