FOR THE EMPIRE’S CAUSE.

IN MESIOBIAU. ARCHIBALD —ln loving memory I of 25/571 Rifleman David Archibald, who died in Franco on May 21, 1916; aged 25 years. We mourn for him in silence, But not with outward show, For those who mourn sincerely Mourn silently and low. Ho never saw the trouble; He only saw the deed; H© never thought of sacrifice; His mind was on the need. And ho had this simple motto, ■Which he followed to the end: "When the other man’s in trouble That’s the time to be his friend.” —lnserted by his loving mother, sisters, and brothers.
