It is expected that the marble plaque which is being sculptured in Paris will be ready lor removal to the walls of Le Quesnoy about the first week in May. As it is a stone weighing 10 tons the fixing of it in the wall will be a matter requiring great skill. It will be lowered from the parapet of the ety wall. Some time in June the unveiling ceremony will take place. On the same day the French monument to the fallen soldiers of the town which is being erected in the Place d’Armee will also be unveiled. Among a number of notable Frenchmen Marshal Joffre will take part in the joint ceremonies. , Probably towards the end of September the monuments at Gravenstafe! and at Messinos will be completed, and the ceremonies of unveiling these two will take place on the same day.
