CRIMINAL. AND CIVIL CALENDARS,
The criminal sittings of the Supreme Court will commence in Dunedin on Tuesday of next week. So far it is not known who will be the presiding judge. '

• Mary Jane Clark and Edith Towler, pro:urine abortion (Dunedin).' Hyman Isaacs, (I), procuring abortion, (2) conspiring to commit a crime (Dunedin). John Skinner, theft of cattle (Hampden).. Ruth Kate Cranefield, two - charges of procuring abortion (Dunedin). Albert Edward Blmudell, (1) bigamy, (2) false declaration (Dunedin). Richard . Pickard Jones, indecent assault on a male (Dunedin).' Archibald Campbell Sim and James Proctor Nicholson, false pretences. FOR SENTENCE. Tlje following prisoners, _ who pleaded guilty in the lower court, will come up for sentence:— Thomas Aaron Hughes, theft as a postal .officer. Rita Margaret Smith, arson. Beslie Henderson Crawford, indecent assault on a female. Albert George Alexander, breaking, entering, and theft hy day (two charges). CIVIL OASES. The following civil cases hare been set down for Tuesday, May iB, when dates will be fixed for their hearing:— \ Bridget Mary Kearney v. the King.—A petition of right for £20011) as damages for the death of her husband ’which was caused during his employment by the Post and Telegraph Department. (I\> be heard before the judge and jury.) George Herbert Ross and William Archibald Ross v. Isabella Small!. —Claim for possession of dwelling-house amd £IOO damages for loss and inconvenience (Before the judge alone.) ' Arthur Preston Burton v. Joseph narles. —Claim for £1450 for false representations alleged to have been made by defendant v ith respect to a property ■ ati Kuri Bush purchased by plaintiff. (Before a jud-e and jury of 12.) The following cases are set down for hearing dtirir.g .the coming session of the Supreme Court: Richard O’Brien v. Clarice May O’Brien and Martin Richard M’Alister, petition for dissolution, of marriage on grounds of misconduct, and claim for £SOO damages (to be heard before a judge and jury of 12).
