(Per United Press Association.) INVERCARGILL,' April 2. Alexander Wilson, a stock buyer, aged 47, and married, committed suicide in a, private hospital by hanging himself from a chain fixed above his bed. He had. been in bad health for some time, and was nervous and despondent. Robert Ross M‘Gregor, aged five and a-hatf years, fell under a moving train, and his foot was partially severed. He is in hospital in a serious condition. CHRISTCHURCH, April 2. Frederick George Howatson lost his life in crossing- the Rakain. River in a gig during high flood, six miles from Southbridgo Station. Tho horse alfd gig were washed away. Neal _ Monro, Howalson’s .companion, swam ashore. Howatson’s body has not. been recovered.

John M‘Kay, aged 82 years, formerly a shepherd, died of injuries received when knocked down by a train at Antigua street crossing on Saturday.
