A SOCIETY FORMED; (Pm United Pbfss Association.) WELLINGTON. March 29. Following an address by Captain E. V. Sanderson yesterday evening, a society was formed for tho purpose of protecting native birds. Sir Thomas Mackenzie was elected president, Sir George Fenwick and Messrs J. P. Firth, Guthrie Smith, D. D. M'Lcan, 11. F. Van Haast, J. Myers, and A. IT. Messenger vice-presidents. Captain Sanderson was elected secretary.
