Mr Robert King, of Te Puke, is freely mentioned as a possible candidate for the Tanranga by-elcction in the Liberal interests. Mr King has taken a. prominent part in local government. He contested the seat on a former occasion against the late Sir William Herries. If, however. Sir Joseph Ward consents to stand, Mr King avail no doubt support him.
