FBNANCIKG SALES OF MOTOR VEHICLES. A PROFITABLE BUSINESS. In connection with tho formation of The ti.'A. Guarantee Corporation (Ltd.), tho following letter is of considerable interest. It is written by Mr J. F. Cousins, General Secretary of tho N.Z. Motor Trade Association, to ii, provisional Director, and is dared 19th February, 1923: " I have received word from Australia, this morning tliat. the Victorian Company which finances the sales of Motor Vehicles is having a successful career. " Their first year closed on SOtli .Tunc last, when a dividend of 8 per ceut. was paid on preferential shares and ~:.G per cent, on ordinary shares. Since then an interim dividend for the half-year ending 31st December has teen paid at the same rates as paid for the first- year. "This information should be of use to the X.Z. Guarantee Corporation in convincing- any investors who are hesitating as to the success of similar companies in Australia.
