DUNEDIN STOCK EXCHANGE. There was a firm tone about the share market yesterday, although the turnover for the day was not very large. Union Steam Ship pref. shares found a buyer for two parcels at 19s 9d, and Westport Coals were sold at 35s 6d. There was a later buyer for Weatports at 355, but no seller came forward. Banking and insurance issues were in firm demand, but sellers were somewhat scarce. Industrial investments were also sought at strong prices, but sellers were not operating.
