Mr F. 11. Dawn, of Wellington, occupied the platform of the Thoosophical Society on Sunday, taking as his subject "The Unity of Religions.” All religions, the speaker said, taught honour, truth, and love, and drew men to the ultimate reality, God. There was only one (rue religion in reality, but God’s revelation was continuously being given out. So great teachers "appeared in the world from time to time .laying emphasis on some fact of truth. The speaker then gave a brief description of prominent religions that have given aspects of tied. Zoroastrianism sounded out the note of purity; Brahmanism, justice; Hinduism, self-knowledge; Buddhism, compassion; Confucianism, tolerance; Mohammedanism, submission; Christianity, service. The speaker, in concluding an eloquent, address, said that every cross that men bore was working out the Divine will.
