RETURNED SOLDIERS
MEETING OF EXECUTIVE. The fortnightly meeting of the executive of the Dunedin Returned Soldiers* Association was held last evening, those present being the Rev. Hector Maoloan (in the chair), Messrs J. B. Callan, P. S. Anderson, A. J. Foley, A. Leeden, J. M’Crao, and R. Fullarton. Applications from F. Hunter, C. Boycg. and J. Dalg.eish for canvassers' permits were granted It was decided to send a letter of appreciation to the Dunedin Club for entertaining the returned soldier bowlers on their “Bowlers’ Day.” One new member was elected on ’ the , recommendation of (ho Nomination Committee;One transfer inward and five outward were approved, and. one honorary member was elected. A member was expelled for disorderly conduct in tho club. The Secretary reported that ho had written to tiro New -Zealand Association asking for information regarding tho itinerary of tho Otago Lands Revision Boards. Ho had also asked for a copy of the forms that had to bo filled in by settlers. He had received a reply stating that tho New Zealand Association had asked the Land Office there for information regarding the itinerary of the Wellington Board, but that office had been unable to give any. Ho had received a copy ot the forms to bo filled in.—lt was decided’to write to the Lands Revision Board, asking if it had a settled itinerary, and to send copies Of -' the forms to settlers explaining that they w-ore to he filled in for tho information of_ Hie Lands Revision Board. Mr A. J. Foley was appointed n representative of tho eommitteo on Hio District Council, to fill the vacancy caused by the resignation of Colonel T. W. M’Donald.
