An interesting ceremony took place at Port Chalmers, when a new lodge of the Royal Antedekivian Order of Buffaloes, to lie known us the “Royal unenic Lodge, Otago No. 2, R.A.0.8.,” was opened at the Druids’ Hall, About 12 months ago some correspondence was published locally on the subject of Buffaloism, and as a result five members of the order resident in Dunedin organised a lodge Known as “Otago Lodge No. 1, R.A.0.8.” In ii months the' membership has increased from five to 85. Twenty-six members of the Dunedin Lodge attended the opening of the new lodge at Port Chalmers, and eight new members were initiated. A very pleasant evening was spent, and the visitors Jett Port Chalmers by motor about 11.30.
