DIES TO SAVE HER BABY. M Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyri^bt LONDON, January 17. Mrs Sarah Smith was carrying her child in a street in Hull -when the brakes of: a motor-car failed to act. The driver shouted to the mother, who, realising the danger, faced the car with her back to the "wall, and held the baby ovet her head. The car crashed into the mother'* body and head, crushing her to death, but the baby -was uninjured.—A. and N.Z. Cable.
