The High Commissioner, owing to the numerical superiority of the invaders, ordered the Memel force to ceass firing, and a truce was arranged. A neutral zone was established. The Lithuanians have proclaimed that they occupied Memel after the garrison surrendered. They took prisoner seven French and 15 Memel soldiers.
