AMERICA. (via California.) BY ELECTRIC TELEGRAPH. Stdnfy, 7th January. November 13. —General M‘Clel!au’s removal has caused groat dissatisfaction Ho is succeeded by General Burnside. . . . Nashville reinforced. Confederates retired. Grand naval attack intended on Charleston and Savannah. Fort Darling being reinforced. M‘Clellan’s removal was owing to his refusal to cross the Potomac. Ho would not do so 'because he considered the army unfit, unfed, and incapable under the present circumstances of pushing after the Confederates. If this was M'Clcllan’a idea it was considered he had Hold command sufficiently long, and he was accordingly retired.
