(Received Jan. 15, at 7.25 p.m.) President Obrcgon has ordered the ex : pulsion of Fi'nppi within three days. ■ He declared that the Federal authorities in future would take steps to prevent violations of the law by the Catholic Church, thus not depending ou the enforcement of these laws by the State authorities This is considered the first movement against alleged Catholic aggressiveness. The order has caused a storm of criticism throughout the country,' which is universally Catholic. —A. and N.Z. Gable. [Filippi, tbo papal delegate to Mexico, unveiled a statue of Christ in the open air (I he event being attended by thousands of Mexicans) and thus violated a law of 1857, which forbids (ho celebration in the open air or in pojjblic places of religious ceremonies. President Obrcgon uttered a warning, declaring: “We make no discrimination between the religion of Protestants ana others. Jf they violate the laws the Government will proceed in the same way against them. Mexicans will be punished and foreigners deported.”]
