MOSUL’S FUTURE. A KING FOR PALESTINE. Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyrignt LAUSANNE, January 14. It is rumoured that Emir Absullah, the sou of King Hedjaz, will be chosen King of Palestine. Absullah agrees with the Earl of Balfour’s plan regarding the Zion-' ists in Turkey and Mesopotamia. It is expected that the Mosul question will be settled shortly. It is proposed that the Arab territory shall be attached to Mesopotamia, and the and Kurdish territory to Turkey.—A. and N.Z. Cable. BRITISH SOLDIER ASSASSINATED. EXECUTIONS IN SMYRNA. CONSTANTINOPLE, January 14. Lieutenant Chapman, a llritish artillery oflicer, was found shot yesterday. It is believed that ho was assassinated. Advices from Smyrna state that 11 Christians who were sentenced to, death by the Tribunal of Indcnendencc, have been hanged.—A. and N.Z. Cable. INCITING REBELLION, KEMAL’S MESSAGE TO EGYPT.
