BOROUGH COUNCIL NOTICES. JgOROUGH OF LAWRENCE. NOTICE OF SPECIAL ORDER AUTHORISING RAISING OF LOAN TO EXTINGUISH ANTECEDENT LIABILITY. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN thnt at a Speciaj Meeting of tho Lawrence Borough Council, called for tho purpose, and hold on Friday, the 15fh day of December, 1922, tho following Special Resolution, intended to operate as a Special Order, was passed: —• RESOLUTION. WHEREAS the antecedent liability of the Lawrence Borough Council within tho moaning of “The Local Bodies’ Finance Act, 1921-22,” as at tho end of its financial year ending on tho 31st dnv of March, 1922, amounted to £6550, NOW THEREFORE the said Council, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it by Section 6 of the said Act and by “Tho Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913,” and of every, if any other, power so enabling it, and with the precedent consent of the Governor-General in Council under Section 20 of “The Finance Act, 1919,” hereby resolves by way ol Special Order: — 1. For tho purpose of extinguishing the said antecedent liability to raise a special loan of £650, repayable at Lawrence on tho fourth day of Sepbor, 1952. 2. 'That the said loan of £650 he raised by tho sale of five Debentures of £IOO each and one Debenture _of £l5O, having a currency of nine yours and six months from the fourth ,1 day of March, 1923, and bearing ,u. interest at the rate of Six Pounds ».,*■ per centum per annum, payable V* half-yearly at Jjawrence, and charged on a special rate of sixpence in tho £ upon the annual rateable value of all rateable property iu the Borough of Lawrence. 3. That a sinking fund of £l2 per annum be created for the repayment of the said loan of £650. 4. That the said loan of £650 and the interest, sinking fund, and other charges in respect thereof be also charged upon the general revenue of the Borough of Lawrence, from whatsoever source derivable, subject to the existing charges thereon. 6. To pay tho interest and sinking fund on the said loan out of its general fund until the further resolution of the said Council. AND NOTICE IS ALSO HEREBY GIVEN that tho said Resolution will be submitted to tho Ordinary Meeting of the said Council, to be held at the Borough Council Offices, Ross place.
