POLITICAL MATTERS
MINISTERS IN WELLINGTON. (Per United Pbess Association.) WELLINGTON, January 3. Mr Massey arrived in Wellington from Auckland to-day The Hon. G. J. Anderson is also back in Wellington. The Hon. J. G. Coates is due to return on Sunday night. Other Ministers at present in Wellington are: Sir Francis Bell, Sir William Fraser, and the Hon. D. H. Guthrie. Approached by a Times representative Mr Massey had nothing further _ to say with regard to the political situation. As previously intimated he will not have anything to say on the matter until after the forthcoming meeting of the Reform Party. He may even await the opening of Parliament and the result of the trial of etrength between the Government and the Opposition parties on the floor of the House. The date of the commencement of the abort preliminary session has not been definitely fixed. The statement from Christchurch that Parliament will probably open on February 14- is quite unofficial.
