The Paloona completed discharge this morning and went down to Port Chalmers, where she will undergo survey and, overhaul. The Federal liner Kent also finished imloading yesterday morning, and went down to. Port Chalmers, where she will load wool shd general cargo for Home. . , The Kaitoke and Katoa, which, are undergoing overhaul at Fort Chalmers, will be recommissioned very shortly. The Kini is expected to leave Napier today for Lyttelton, and Dunedin. Due here .about Tuesday next, she will load for Wellington, Napier, and Gisborne. The Breeze is to sail to-morrow for Wellington and Wanganui, via Timaru, Lyttelton, and. Pioton. The Calm, from Bluff, is due here on January 5 to load for Wanganui, via ports. .The Whangape, from Sydney, via Wellington and Lyttelton, is due here about tomorrow, and is to sail about Tuesday for Bluff and Sydney. The Waipori, from Westport, via Bluff, is due here to-day, and is to sail to-morrow for Greymouth direct. The Kaituna is due here to-morrow from Auckland, via ports, and is to load for Bluff. ~The Manuka is to leave Sydney to-day for Wellington, where she is due on Tuesday. The Federal Lino steamer City of Newcastle, from New York, via ( Auckland, is td leave Wellington on Tuesday for Lyttelton and Dunedin; thence to Australian ports to complete discharge. The Maunganui, from San Francisco, via Papeete and Rarotonga, is expected to leave Wellington to-morrow for Sydney. , The Carpentaria, from Newcastle, arrived at Lyttelton on Tuesday evening to load ■wool and frozen meat for London. The vessel will also load at Picton, New Plymouth, and Wellington to complete. The vessel will leave for London, via Montevideo, on January 12. PORT VICTOR FOR BOSTON. The Commonwealth and Dominion Line steamer Port Victor is to leave Wellington to-morrow for Boston and London, via Panama. WITHIN WIRELESS RANGE. The following vessels were expected to bo within range of the under-mentioned wireless stations last night:—Auckland; Capo May, Navua, Otarama, and Tredenham. THE MOERAKL , The Union Steam Ship Company’s intercolonial steamer Moeraki arrived at Auckland on Wednesday with 320 passengers-from Sydney. The vessel will withdraw from the Sydney service, and will replace the Paloona in the Melbourne running. She is to leave I 'Wellington this morning on hex initial trip, and should sail from Melbourne on her first _ yaturn trip for Wellington, via Bluff, Dun--Odin, and. Lyttelton on January 5. MARAHA RECOMMISSIONING ‘"At 11 o’clock this morning the Marama will leave Wellington for Sydney. This vessel has been lying idle at the Clyde quay wharf for the past few months, and has recently been renovated and painted. The C. aiid D. liner Port Hunter arrived at Auckland on Monday from Newcastle for Homeward loading. She is to load also at Gisborne, Tokoroaru Bay, Napier, and Wanganui, and will sail from Wanganui during the third week in January for London. , DISCHARGING NEW YORK CARGO . The A. and A. Line steamer City of Newcastle arrived at Wellington, at 10 pun. on ■•Monday from Auckland to continue discharge ...of Now York cargo. The vessel is to leave i-Wellington to-morrow for Lyttelton, JJun- ’ edin, and Melbourne to complete discharge. SUFFOLK TO COMPLETE LOADING. Ths Federal liner Suffolk sailed from Wellington on Tuesday rooming for Napier, Gisborne. and Auckland to complete her cargo. The Shaw, Savill, and Albion Line steamer lonic, from London, via northern ports, is dno at Port Chalmers to-morrow, but she will not bo able to commence discharging till Wednesday next. She will later proceed to Wellington on January 4 to complete loading. _ Tho vessel is scheduled to sail from Wellington at day break on January IX for Southampton and London. NEW STEAMER GALE. Messrs H. L. Tapley and Co. have received cabled advice that tho Canterbury Steam Shipping Company’s new steamer Gale, from London, via Cardiff, arrived at Panama on December 20, and left two days later for Lyttelton direct. She is making n very smart trip, and is averaging about 200 miles per day, wliich is exceptionally good steaming for vessels of her size. Tho vessel is of the same type, but a trifle larger, than the Breeze. Due at Lyttelton about January 28, she will immediately enter tho DunedinWanganui, via ports, trade, and will prove a valuable addition te the Canterbury Shipping Company’s fleet, which now comprises the Calm, Breeze, Storm, and the new steamer Gale. TRANS-PACIFIC CARGO SERVICE. Tho Union Company announces the following movements of vessels engaged in tho trans-Pacific cargo service: From Pacific Coast ports, via New Zealand ports and Melbourne, the Hauraki sailed from Adelaide on December 21 for Sydney, to complete discharge of inward cargo, after which she is to proceed to Pacific Const to fake the February loading for Now Zealand and Australian ports. The Waihemo was expected to leave Newcastle on Saturday for Honolulu and Vancouver. She will take the late January southward loading. The Waiotapu, from Pacific Coast ports, via New Zealand porta, was expected to leave Melbourne on Saturday for Adelaide and Sydney to complete discharge. The Wairuna, from Pacific Coast ports, sailed from San Francisco on December 17 for Auckland, Melbourne, Adelaide, and Sydney. She is due at Auckland about January H. From Pacific Coast ports tho Waimarino was expected to clear San Francisco on Saturday for Napier, Wellington, New Plymouth, Lyttelton, Dunedin, and Sydney. The Waikawa, from Sydney, is duo at Vancouver about Friday, January 5. She will load at Pacific Coast ports during January for Wellington, Sydney, and Melbourne.
