ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES
(Per United Press Association.) AUCKLAND, December 6. • Mr G. 11. Broad, aged 70, who returned from Sydney by the Makura yesterday, collapsed on the bowling green, and died last evening. lie had .been treated for a weak heart. LEVIN, December 6. James Egginton, a farmer, single, aged 66 years, was found drowned, by his brother, at Heatberlea on his return from a sale yesterday. The deceased was subject to fits. -Apparently he had been to the creek to gat lies' watercress for fowls, had a seizure, and fell into the water. A youth named Herbert Saunders, aged 18 years, was admitted to the Dunedin liespital yesterday, suffering from injuries to his left hand, caused through having it. caught in a. machine at R. Crawford and Co.’s factory, King .street, whore ho was employed. -
