In the Reichstag Herr Cuno stated that the new Government was firmly resolved to execute the Wirth Government’s programme outlined in the Note to the Reparations Commission on the 13th. inst. Germany must have a complete moratorium for reparation payments in cash or kind, except deliveries for the devastated regions for a triennimn or quadreunium, and must obtain a loan of five hundred million gold marks to reestablish her finances. The Government would do everything possible to discharge Germany’s obligations as loser of the war. especially regarding the devastated regions; but Germany’s vital requirements must first be provided. Referring to tha Rhineland, Herr Cuno said the Govern* ment would never surrender the occupied German territory.—A. and N.Z. Cable.
